Memorable Incidents: Playing "Fight" on my trumpet

regular basis.
Since High School: Graduated LBHS in 1961. Attended
Millsaps College, graduated from USM in 1966. Married
Trisha in 1966. Graduated from Naval Officer Candidate
School in 1966. Served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1969,
spending two years in Washington, D.C. and one year in
River Forces in Vietnam. Worked in the family business
(Beach Cycle) from 1969 to 1976. Entered the financial
services business in 1976. Owned my own agency until 1987
and then moved to the Orlando, Fl area to take a
management position with CNA Insurance. From 1988 until
2000 was a Regional Sales Manager with Northwestern
National Life. In 2000 accepted a position as Regional
Sales Director with Woodbury Financial Services, part of
The Hartford.
Future Plans: Continue to! enjoy my career and
travel to Company Conventions at exotic locations. I also
hope to reduce my golf handicap.
Memorable Teachers: Looking back I realized when I
got to college that Reese Skinner was a fabulous teacher.
Also enjoyed looking at Ms. Denny during English and
driving Jim Brent crazy. |
