Since High School: Went to Ole Miss, graduated June
'67; married my husband, Ken Young in 1967; worked for Ole
Miss a couple of years; moved to Anaheim, CA in '69,
worked for Purchasing Agent at Kwikset Lock Company until
move to San Francisco Bay area (San Mateo, CA) in 1970;
had our son, Jerry, there; moved to Houston 1972; had our
daughter, Lauren; moved to Baton Rouge, 1976; daughter,
Tiffany was born in 1980. We lived in Baton Rouge until
1998 when we moved to Houston, where we're still living.
My life has been very active and fulfilling serving in the
community and in the church.
Future Plans: When Ken retires in a couple years,
we plan to move to Oxford, Mississippi and build a home on
my grandmother's land. We're looking forward to rejoining
the church where we married 36 years ago, taking care of
our older family members there and having our children and
grandchildren come to visit us on the farm. We're sure
there will be many areas of service for us to become
involved in also.
Memorable Teachers: Mr. Hilton...he taught English
so clearly, Coach Taylor....he was so 'real' and
understanding, Mrs.....Oh, I can't remember her name...the
geometry teacher. She was great! and of course, Mr.
Ladner.Comments:
I'm really looking forward to the reunion and seeing
everyone. I have wonderful memories from our days at
LBHS. Thanks, Eddie, for putting together this great web
site. Thanks also to Tonda, who has worked so hard for
the Class of l964
